Another week in the books and another week with the Nations of DomiNATION on top.....so, to get you in the mood for the rest of the post, here is my new theme music for the week (a la AJ Styles):
Last week we were faced with 3 Marquee match-ups:
The first was the People's Republic of Tyranny vs. The Canada. We knew this would be a close match as these two fellas have been trading blows in the top 5 every week, but this week, things just didn't go to well for the PRT. Even with a 9 point deduction for Syria, The Canada still couldn't be stopped behind a big week from Syria and a middle-of-the-road week from Italy. This week, Brian had China and that was it. Only one country was 80+ and that Hurt Brian and upped Colton's points and Wins lead in the division. I also believe this is the squeak-er of the week-er with a 9 point difference between the two.
The Second match-up was Kathryn vs. Madi. And, through a bunch of trades (on both ends) MADI finally gets her first win of the season, leaving Samantha on the bottom as the only win-less squad.
The third match-up was the Nations of DomiNATION vs Bad Wolf. As predicted, I spit hot fire, and Jessica goes down! Jessica's biggest detriment to her bench was the Netherlands, only giving her 20 points. New Zealand was small as well, but what are you going to do? Kathryn would have won, but she gave up 29 points in traded countries....giving her the Bonehead of the week as well.
Weekly Awards:
Rockstar of the Week: Iran (Alpha Wolf) for being the highest scoring country
Blowout of the Week: Halberstram's dismantling of Lyzyrd Skynyrd by 101 points
Squeak-er-of-the-Week-er: The Canada over the PRT by 9 points.
Bonehead of the Week: Kathryn for giving up countries that had enough points for her to win this week.
Kathryn Gaito Sad Trombone Award: Samantha, for zero wins.....
This week begins the conference match-ups many of you have been salivating about. Here are some of the big throwdowns we can all witness:
Bad Wolf vs the PRT in the LDC division pits #2 vs #3 in the division, they are level on wins and only 60 points separate them. Everything else.....is a huge mismatch......nothing to see beyond that.
Who will win, will there be upsets? Will the NOD go down in a dumpster fire?
Check in for more next week....
XOXO
