Well the first week of the AP Comparative Government Fantasy Geopolitics Season is in the books! As expected, from pre-season point generation, the teams from the Lesser Developed Countries were dominant, achieving victory in five of their seven cross-conference match-ups.
PO Life showed that this pitcher is something to be reckoned with, easily defeating the GDI (and making one of Rimmey's top forensics IX-ers look really bad) beating him by nearly 200 points. This allows Smith to not only walk away with the Rockstar Performance of the Week (highest overall performance) but also wins an award for the Biggest Blowout of the week (largest margin of victory).
Quite easily, the squeak-er of the weak-er (closest margin of victory) is awarded to the best proctor in 6th hour, T-Money$$$ Givens (although he was not in class a single day this week.....), he can put this in his pocket along with his Wendy's High School Athlete of the Week award (although mine is far more prestigious). We'll see if he can keep squeaking out victories in addition to scanning play scripts for the next several weeks.
The Bonehead Move of the Week goes to the newly named Mali is Bae (is this a nod to his real life Girlfriend? Who is probably not named after the African nation.....but pretty close) since he decided to drop two of his previous countries on the day scores were recorded? Dropping two of his four countries to zero was devastating, maybe he will wait until Monday next week? Closely behind him was the Tsunami of Insane Daleks, whose team has been a revolving door of countries in and out......Will Thomas make up his mind? We'll see how he performs in the future.
Finally, this week's recipient of the Sad Trombone (lowest performance) is Lauren......I have faith she can get some good countries and bounce back......but as she and cohort Teghan noted "thank god we're not being graded on this!"
Week two can be vicious big winners are pitted against one another. Match-ups to watch are:
Aaron's Black Crackers v. Baby Ducks
American Axis of Evil v. Adrienne Cox
Who will pick up wins and awards next week? Tune in to find out!
